Personal care services focus on assisting individuals with their daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

Personal care in home includes:
Bathing and Showering
- Assistance with bathing or showering to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- Help with entering and exiting the bath or shower.
Dressing and Grooming
- Assistance with selecting appropriate clothing.
- Help with dressing and undressing.
- Grooming tasks such as hair brushing, shaving, and nail care.
Toileting and Incontinence Care
- Assistance with using the toilet.
- Help with managing incontinence, including changing incontinence pads and cleaning up accidents.
Mobility Assistance
- Support with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and other mobility needs.
- Use of mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs.
Feeding and Nutrition
Assistance with eating and drinking.
Help with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition.
Medication Reminders and Management
- Reminding clients to take their medications.
- Assistance with organising and managing medications.
Oral Hygiene
- Assistance with brushing teeth and denture care.
Skin Care
- Applying lotions and creams to maintain skin health.
- Monitoring for signs of skin issues like bedsores.
Companionship and Emotional Support
- Providing conversation and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Emotional support and engagement in social activities.
Safety and Supervision
- Ensuring a safe environment by removing hazards.
- Supervision to prevent falls and other accidents.
Exercise Assistance
- Helping with prescribed exercises to maintain physical health and mobility.
